Our Learning in Term 2

This term D4 has used google slides to present their learning. First we researched an animal and then made slides that showed what we had discovered. We learnt about adding headings, pictures, text, labels, backgrounds and shapes to our work to make it more interesting. We also found out about endangered animals, and how we can help them. At parent interviews we are going to present our work to our parents and whanau.

The Duck Game Problem

We used many different ways to solve the duck problem.  The problem was we had to make a square fence to create an area for a duck game at the school fair.

Ice Cream Problem

We had to solve a maths problem. If there were 4 flavours of ice cream, how many different 2 scoop combinations could we make. The scoops were on top of each other and you could have the opposites. So if the bottom scoop was vanilla, you could have chocolate on top. You could also have chocolate on the bottom and vanilla on the top. You could not have 2 flavours the same. We worked in groups of 3 to solve the problem and used different equipment to help us.
